Pinch and Place |

There are two basic methods for taking snuff; the Pinch method and the “Place” method. But, there’s a wrong way and a right way to take snuff, no matter the method. Typically, folks new to nasal snuff almost invariably begin by doing what they’ve seen in the movies, taking a pinch, inhaling hard thru the nose and sneezing for what seems like an eternity! This would be the wrong way. The Pinch method is done by taking a small pinch from your snuff box, placing up to your nose and lightly sniffing the pinch. Like smelling a flower or taking a normal breath. The place method is done by taking the pinch and placing it in the divot between the thumb and forefinger when they are next to each other. There, you lift your hand to your nose and lightly sniff. |
